GREENEVILLE, Tenn. (WJHL) — Starting Wednesday, Greeneville will initiate pavement resurfacing on three local roads, as announced by the town authorities.

The announcement detailed that Summers-Taylor will begin the milling and paving process on specific road sections starting October 22.

  • Erwin Highway from Hwy 11E to the Greeneville and Tusculum city-limit line
  • When the above section is complete, paving operations move to a 1.92-mile segment of Old Shiloh Road from Old Tusculum Road to Shiloh Road
  • Next, paving will move to E Church Street to pave 1.2 miles between Bernard and Buckingham Drive (near Stratford Dr.)

Residents can view maps provided by the town to see the exact locations where the roadwork will occur:

“We expect to complete paving on all three roads within two weeks, weather permitting,” the release stated. “Flagging operations will be in effect at all sites, but no road closures are expected. Once paving is finished, permanent road striping will be applied.”

The town has committed to providing updates if there are any changes to the schedule or plans.
