An insider says that the fourth season of the popular HBO series the White Lotus will be set in France.

Series creator Mike White, 55, has past spoken about ideas he has for the show’s season four destination, the outlet reported.

‘In the fourth season, I want to move away from the familiar image of waves crashing against rocks, but there’s always room for more intrigue at the White Lotus hotels,’ he mentioned.

It was yet ‘uncertain’ whether White still prefers a location by the ocean, the source indicated, observing that Cap-Ferrat isn’t directly positioned by the sea.

The HBO series has past had an exclusive business relationship with the Four Seasons, Deadline reported.

An HBO representative declined to comment to Deadline, the outlet reported; Daily Mail has reached out to HBO for further comment on the report.

One luxury locale the outlet cited as a potential destination was the Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat.

The hotel is located on French Riviera and a major hub of activity when the Cannes Film Festival is going on.

Insiders told Deadline ‘that no hotel has been locked in’ for season four as of Thursday.

Sources told Deadline the series often incorporates multiple resorts into its shooting schedule.

Another potential location mentioned in the piece included Megève, France, which hosts a ski resort part of the year.

Actors from the series have remarked that White tends to avoid colder environments and has dismissed ideas for potential seasons set in snowy ski resorts.

The show’s previous incarnations were set in Hawaii for season one; Italy for season two; and Thailand for season three.
