Three children were injured when a bounce house got caught in a gust of wind created by a law enforcement helicopter on Saturday.

The horror unfolded during the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department’s open house at the cops’ headquarters in the city around 10:30 a.m.

According to a statement from the department, a helicopter operated by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department was  flying over the festivities when its downdraft caused several canopies and the bounce house to lift off the ground.

Three children needed to be hospitalized with injuries following the lift off. There was one child inside the bounce house when it flew away. That child did not require medical transport.
