The three states reported a total of 31,907 new infections today.
There have been 13,771 new infections recorded overnight in the state.
This includes 7225 positive rapid antigen tests and 6546 PCR tests.
There are 1701 people in hospital and 76 being treated in ICU.
Victoria has recorded 10 deaths and 10,427 new COVID-19 cases.
The new cases include 6669 rapid antigen test results and 3758 PCR tests.
Queensland has recorded 7718 new COVID-19 cases and seven deaths.
There are currently 542 people in hospital and 15 people in ICU.
Tasmania recorded 1202 new cases, including 241 positive PCR tests and 961 positive rapid antigen tests.
There are 40 people in hospital, including 18 being treated specifically for COVID-19 and 22 COVID-positive cases being treated for unrelated medical conditions.
The state’s health department did not report any deaths.
Change in numbers
NSW Health reported on Wednesday there were 1743 people with COVID-19 in hospital and 73 people in intensive care in the 24-hour reporting period to 4pm on Tuesday.
During this reporting period, the state reported 12,188 positive tests and 10 deaths.
The number of cases, hospitalisations and deaths has fluctuated across the states and territories.
There were 56 patients in hospital, including four patients who require oxygen and one patient being treated in ICU.
There were 14 people being treated for the virus and 26 COVID-positive cases being treated for unrelated medical conditions.
