Tim Scott Gives Hall of Fame Response to Joy Behar's Race-Based Attack as Larger Point Is Made

Few things terrify Democrats and their media allies more than a minority who dares to think differently and who chooses to call themselves a Republican. That goes double for Republican minority candidates for public office, and even more so for those seeking the presidency.

The left’s attacks on those candidates can be especially unrelenting and vicious, as we saw for instance in the 2016 GOP presidential primary race when Sens. Ted Cruz (Texas) and Marco Rubio (Fla.) were hit with insulting accusations from the Usual Suspects, who suggested they were traitors to the Hispanic community because they refused to buy into Democratic dogma on issues like illegal immigration.

Sadly, we’re seeing the same thing happen as the 2024 GOP field takes shape, as we saw back in February when former U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley, fresh off of entering the presidential race, was informed by Woke, Inc. that she was trying to hide her Indian-American heritage because she’s been going by the name Nikki (her middle name) since she was a child and not her first name, which is Nimarata.

Not surprisingly, the Mean Girls contingent at “The View” planted the seeds for this line of attack months before Haley’s announcement with co-host and racial arsonist Sunny Hostin essentially accusing her of being a sellout, while suggesting Haley should “lean into being someone of color” as though someone’s race should be a focal point instead of their actual stances on the issues.

Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.), also a Republican presidential candidate, has seen his fair share of similar despicable attacks over the years as well, with the MSM dutifully running interference. And during a segment on last Tuesday’s “View” program, the race-based attacks on Scott reared their ugly heads again, this time with co-host Joy Behar taking the lead.

“And [Sen. Scott is] one of these guys, who you know, he’s like Clarence Thomas, black Republican, who believes in pulling yourself by your bootstraps, rather than, to me, understanding the systemic racism that African-Americans face in this country and other minorities. He doesn’t get it,” Behar proclaimed.

“Neither does Clarence. And that’s why they’re Republicans,” Behar went on to say, while disrespectfully leaving out his title of “Supreme Court Justice,” which he more than earned.

Watch:

The next day, Behar whined over getting called out for essentially whitesplaining to Sen. Scott and Justice Thomas:

But the best response came from Scott himself, who in an interview a week after “The View” show in question aired reminded people of Behar admitting to dabbling in blackface when she was 29.

“There’s no doubt a white lady dressing up in blackface giving a black man advice probably doesn’t ring true in anyone’s minds, certainly not my own,” Scott said.

While that was definitely an “ouch” moment for Behar, Scott made a larger point during the interview that cannot be overstated. In a nutshell, Scott said the real “danger” was the message people like Behar were sending to children by uttering such nonsense:

“Here’s what is dangerous and offensive to me, for every young child in America wanting to think for themselves, draw their own conclusions. What they’re saying to them is, ‘stay in your place, do not stick your head out because we’re going to tell you how to think so you never learned anything about what you should think. It is literally the dumbest, most offensive thing I’ve ever witnessed on TV to hear these millionaire TV personalities telling me how to live my life as a black man. But more importantly, suggesting to every child, stay in your place, follow my lead or you, too, will reap the same harvest of Tim Scott or Clarence Thomas or any other conservative who dares, dares to think for themselves.”

Listen below:

That is honestly one of the most important messages out there among the many points the current GOP presidential field have been making during the course of their respective campaigns, and it’s one the eventual nominee needs to make during debates with Joe Biden.

On one hand, Joe Biden has told people that America is the land of opportunity “for all,” which he says has been proven thanks to him selecting Kamala Harris as his vice presidential running mate and them being declared the winners in 2020.

But Biden’s stances and those of Democrats in Congress tell a different story, one of black people, Hispanic people, etc. supposedly not being able to get ahead in this country because of “systemic racism.” These messages ultimately end up being filtered down to children of color by way of CRT indocrination and the like, causing them to grow up thinking their country hates them and doesn’t want them to succeed, when the truth is precisely the opposite.

Tim Scott’s actual life story and family history, which Joy Behar clearly knows nothing about, is quite remarkable considering some of the obstacles he said he and his ancestors faced, many of which they were able to overcome thanks to hard work and possessing an enduring spirit of optimism in the land of the free.

“I’m used to having the left attack me because of the truth of my life,” Scott also said during his interview. “This proves their lies.”

Indeed.
