Liam and Noel Gallagher express their shock and sadness after an Oasis fan tragically died during their sold-out concert at Wembley Stadium last night.

A man in his 40s suffered fatal injuries around 10:19pm, reportedly falling from the upper tier balcony of the 90,000-seat venue.

One eyewitness told the Daily Mail they heard screams and shouts after the male had tumbled.

They said: ‘It was horrendous. The guy fell from a balcony. Paramedics came rushing over. There was a lot of screaming and shouting.

‘It was a big fall. God knows how it happened. It was so tragic. I don’t know how on earth it happened.

‘It was heartbreaking. He was only young.’

Oasis said in a statement that they were ‘shocked and saddened’ by the fan’s death.

‘Oasis would like to extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the person involved,’ they said.

Organisers have said tonight’s show will go ahead as planned.

According to sources, the incident occurred at the concert’s conclusion while fireworks were being launched after Oasis performed Champagne Supernova.

Another fan witnessed paramedics trying to revive the male after he had hit the concrete floor.

They told The Sun they first thought a coat was falling from above until they looked over.

‘I was in section 211 right below. Initially, it seemed like a coat falling from above, but then I realized it was a man on the concrete. It was a horrific sight,’ a witness recounted.

Former Sky Sports presenter Richard Keys had been at Wembley last night to watch Oasis.

He blamed the death on the ‘massive amount of alcohol allowed into the arena’.

Writing on X, he said: ‘I heard about this last night. It’s so sad. Thoughts are with the family.

‘The issue seemed to be the excessive alcohol allowed in the arena. I was surprised by it. This wouldn’t be permitted at a football match or a concert.’

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson stated: ‘At around 22:19 hours on Saturday, 2 August, officers on duty at Wembley Stadium for the Oasis concert, along with venue medics and the London Ambulance Service, responded to reports of an injured person.’

‘A man – aged in his 40s – was found with injuries consistent with a fall. He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

‘The stadium was busy, and we believe it is likely a number of people witnessed the incident, or may knowingly or unknowingly have caught it on mobile phone video footage.

‘If you have any information that could help us to confirm what happened, please call 101, quoting 7985/02AUG.’

A Wembley Stadium spokesperson said: ‘Last night, Wembley Stadium medics, the London Ambulance Service and the police attended to a concert goer who was found with injuries consistent with a fall.

‘Despite their efforts, the fan very sadly died.

‘Our thoughts go out to his family, who have been informed and are being supported by specially trained police officers.

‘The Police have asked anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them.

‘Tonight’s Oasis concert will go ahead as planned.’

Liam Gallagher’s ex-wife Nicole Appleton and her pal Spice Girl Emma Bunton were among watching Oasis perform last night.

The former All Saints star took to Instagram on Saturday to reveal she was watching Oasis with Spice Girl Emma, her younger sister Nat and actress Donna Air.

Elsewhere on Saturday, Liam’s daughter Molly Moorish-Gallagher, 27 – who he shares with his ex Lisa Moorish – was also in attendance at his Oasis Wembley gig.

She posted some Instagram Stories from the crowd as she watched her dad and uncle perform to hundreds of thousands of people.

It’s been almost a month since the siblings performed together for the first time in 16 years following an epic falling out backstage in Paris which sparked the band’s split.

While it’s been feared that a major bust-up between the once-warring brothers could put a halt to the live shows, their latest gig showed that the pair are still on track.

Liam made a sweet onstage gesture to his brother Noel as they took to the stage on Wednesday.

As they continued their Oasis ’25 tour at during their third show at Wembley, Liam left fans in awe as he dedicated a song to his older brother, 58.

Ahead of belting out his next track, Liam told the crowd: ‘Now I’ve gotta dedicate this next tune to our kid – Stand By Me’, reports The Sun.

The emotional moment was captured by a fan who shared a clip to X, with music lovers rushing to the comments to share how it made them feel.
