An incident involving Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has resulted in the fatal shooting of a woman, described by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) as an act of “domestic terrorism.”
The woman, whose identity has not been disclosed, reportedly attempted to assault officers with her vehicle during an ICE operation in Minneapolis. According to a statement provided to the Daily Mail by DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin, the woman aimed to “kill them” by using her car as a weapon.

The tragedy comes as DHS deployed more than 2,000 ICE officers to Minneapolis as part of their largest operation ‘ever.’
McLaughlin said the ICE agent escalated the situation because he was ‘fearing for his own life, the lives of his fellow law enforcement and the safety of the public.’
‘He used his training and saved his own life and that of his fellow officers,’ she said in a statement, describing the gunshots as ‘defensive shots.’
