A young engineer tragically shot his high school sweetheart at her father’s residence before fleeing into the woods and ending his own life.
Madeline Spatafore, 25, was discovered dead after police responded to an emergency call on a peaceful street in Seven Fields, approximately 20 miles north of Pittsburgh, late at night.

The situation came to light when Hosso’s parents, Don and Jennifer, alerted authorities around 1:15 a.m. on Tuesday. This followed a distressing call from Hosso, during which he admitted to the crime and expressed suicidal intentions.
Local police launched a search in the nearby woods, but Hosso took his own life before officers could reach him, according to police reports.
