In response to a tragic incident in Minneapolis involving a fatal shooting by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer, President Donald Trump has released an official statement. The shooting has captured national attention and sparked widespread discussion.
“I have just watched the footage of the incident that occurred in Minneapolis, Minnesota,” the president remarked in his detailed statement. “It is truly distressing to witness,” he added.
President Trump described the woman heard screaming in the video as “clearly a professional agitator.” He further characterized the driver as chaotic and disobedient, accusing her of obstructing and resisting the ICE officers before allegedly running over an officer, prompting him to shoot in what appeared to be self-defense.
The shocking footage of the incident has rapidly spread across social media platforms, capturing the public’s attention.
In one of the clips, several ICE agents are seen approaching a maroon Honda Pilot, instructing the driver to exit the vehicle. Instead of complying, the driver reverses before accelerating forward, aiming the car at an agent standing directly in its path.
The driver does not follow the orders, then reverses the car before putting it in drive and speeding forward at an agent directly in front of the hood.
That agent quickly unholsters his gun and fires three times towards the non-cooperative driver.
Then the car can be seen careening into the back of a parked car down the street.

‘The woman screaming was, obviously, a professional agitator, and the woman driving the car was very disorderly, obstructing and resisting, who then violently, willfully, and viciously ran over the ICE Officer, who seems to have shot her in self defense,’ Trump said

The president attached a clip of the shooting to his Truth Social post.
‘Based on the attached clip, it is hard to believe he is alive, but is now recovering in the hospital,’ Trump said of the agent. ‘The situation is being studied, in its entirety, but the reason these incidents are happening is because the Radical Left is threatening, assaulting, and targeting our Law Enforcement Officers and ICE Agents on a daily basis.’
‘They are just trying to do the job of MAKING AMERICA SAFE. We need to stand by and protect our Law Enforcement Officers from this Radical Left Movement of Violence and Hate!’
ICE has claimed that the woman driving the vehicle intentionally sped forward, trying to injure the officer.
Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey has said that the agents’ claim of acting in self-defense is ‘bullsh**.’
A video shared online captured a witness speaking to a woman who claimed she was the driver’s wife and they had a six-year-old child.
‘That’s my wife, I don’t know what to do,’ she wailed hysterically.
The man filming the video asked if she was with the woman who was killed, and if she had any friends who could help.
‘That’s my wife… [unintelligible]… I have a six-year-old at school… we’re new here, we don’t have anyone,’ she replied.

The woman has not been identified by officials, but they described her as a 37-year-old white woman.
Department of Homeland Security (DHS) spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin called the driver’s actions ‘act of domestic terrorism’ after she ‘weaponized her vehicle’ against the federal agents.
