CHICAGO (CBS) — Two Chicago Police officers were shot Saturday night on the South Side.

Police Department spokesman Tom Ahern tweeted that the officers were shot in the 8th (Chicago Lawn) District. According to unconfirmed dispatch reports, it happened around 9:15 p.m. near 63rd and Bell.

The officers’ conditions were not immediately available. Ahern said they were being taken to University of Chicago Medical Center.
