An iconic figure from some of the most memorable films of the 1980s was recently seen in Los Angeles, enjoying a rare, low-profile day out.
The actor was casually dressed and appeared to be running errands as he walked leisurely through the city.
This appearance comes just weeks ahead of a significant birthday, as the star prepares to celebrate his 69th next month.
While he might not grace the screen as frequently these days, his filmography stands as a testament to his involvement in several cult classics and critically lauded movies.
He once shared the screen with Michael J. Fox in a beloved teen comedy from the ’80s and later starred with Tom Cruise in a Vietnam War drama that swept the Oscars.
Throughout the years, his contributions have left a lasting impact on both film and television, even as he transitioned to working more behind the scenes.
A familiar face from some of Hollywood’s most iconic ’80s projects was spotted out and about in Los Angeles this week, enjoying a rare low-key outing
That actor is Jerry Levine.
Levine is best known to movie fans for playing Stiles, the fast-talking best friend in the 1985 hit Teen Wolf, as well as for his role in Oliver Stone’s Born on the Fourth of July.
He also appeared in films including Iron Eagle, Casual Sex? and K-9.
Born in 1957, in New Brunswick, New Jersey, Levine studied theater before launching his on-screen career in the early 1980s, first gaining attention on television before breaking into film.
While audiences continued to spot him in popular shows like Will & Grace, Seinfeld, Boy Meets World and Monk, Levine increasingly found success behind the scenes, directing episodes of hit series such as It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Everybody Hates Chris, Hawaii Five-0 and 90210.
Levine is married to American film and television executive and producer, Nina Tassler.
She was most recently the chairwoman of CBS Entertainment until 2015.
The longtime couple, who met as students at Boston University’s College of Fine Arts in 1975, wed in 1984.

Ultimately, the pair made the trek to Los Angeles after Levine tested for a pilot in California.
‘He did not get the pilot, but he did audition for and get a movie – he played Stiles in Teen Wolf. I was not thinking of moving to California yet, but he said, “There’s great opportunity here. I think you are going to really love it,”‘ she explained.
Tassler and Levine share two children.
