CHICAGO — A search is underway for a child who police say was abducted on the city’s South Side.
The police are currently on the lookout for 5-year-old Blessen Turner, who has been taken from near the 6300 block of South Calumet Avenue in Washington Park. Her last sighting was on Wednesday.
Authorities noted that the missing child was last seen dressed in a school uniform comprising navy blue pants and a navy blue shirt, topped with a rainbow Mickey Mouse hooded sweatshirt. Additionally, she was wearing grey and black Jordan sneakers.

The missing child, who has black hair and dark brown eyes, stands 3 feet tall and weighs around 36 pounds.
Based on police reports, the child could be with her father, Darshawn Turner. It is suggested that they might be traveling in an older model black Toyota with a temporary plate displayed in the window, although the specific number remains unknown.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of 5-year-old Blessen Turner is asked to contact the CPD Area One SVU at 312-747-8380 or dial 911.
