Benjamin Song, a long-standing antifa activist, faces three charges of attempted murder of federal agents and three charges of using a firearm during the Texas ICE incident.
He was identified as a member of the John Brown Gun Club after he was sued in 2023 by a right-wing group called the New Columbia Movement.
This group claimed that Song was acting as security at a drag event in Fort Worth as part of the John Brown Gun Club’s Elm Fork Chapter. He allegedly pepper-sprayed group members, though he was not criminally charged at the time.

Another member of the John Brown Gun Club, Willem van Spronsen, was killed by law enforcement in 2019 when he attempted to destroy an ICE detention center by setting off a propane tank and hurling Molotov cocktails at the facility.
He left behind a manifesto that said, “I am Antifa,” and was hailed by fellow left-wing agitators as a “martyr” and hero of the movement.
