A young woman experienced a severe allergic reaction after being administered a contrast dye, which is typically used in CT and MRI scans to enhance the visibility of organs and tissues in medical imaging.

She had a history of kidney stones and was undergoing the scan as part of a routine check at the Alto Vale hospital in Rio do Sul, Brazil.

Leticia had a law degree and was pursuing postgraduate studies in Law and Real Estate Business, according to the national outlet g1.

Her funeral service was held on Thursday at Casa Mortuária Jardim Primavera in Rio do Sul, after which she was taken to Crematório Vaticano in Balneário Camboriú, as reported by the Mirror.

The hospital expressed its condolences to the family, saying: “We regret this loss and extend our heartfelt sympathies to the family.

“We uphold our dedication to ethics, transparency, and the safety of our patients, stressing that all procedures are performed following the recommended clinical protocols.”
