In South Holland, Illinois, a situation involving a local travel agent has finally seen some resolution for at least one affected customer. The travel agent, who has been at the center of numerous complaints from clients alleging canceled or postponed trips, has reached a settlement with one of those clients.
The issues were brought to light by the ABC7 Chicago I-Team, which reported on several grievances as early as September. Following that report, more individuals stepped forward in October with similar stories.

These families have reported dealing with a host of issues, including canceled travel plans, missing refunds, and a lack of communication from the travel agent in question.
Several disgruntled customers shared with the I-Team that their international travel arrangements were either canceled, delayed, or never materialized after they booked their trips through Vikki McKnuckle of ACL Travel, a travel agency based in South Holland.
In a recent development, one client has successfully secured a court settlement. Eunice Lockett, who filed a small claims case against McKnuckle, reached an agreement and concluded her legal proceedings.
Eunice Lockett recently settled a small claims case against McKnuckle.
Will County Circuit Court records show McKnuckle was ordered to pay $500 in December, which Lockett says she received. And McKnuckle has to pay an additional $2,724 due in about a week.
Lockett had already gotten a refund on her airfare before the court action.
“I’m satisfied because I am on a fixed income. I’m a retired nurse. And so you know I’m not pleased about the way it happened, but at least I got something. The idea I had to go through this was unnecessary,” Lockett said.
The I-Team also uncovered eight complaints filed with the Illinois attorney general.
Some people say they recovered partial refunds or won credit card disputes, but others say they missed the deadline to dispute, after trips were postponed.
South Holland police said they’re investigating.
McKnuckle could not be reached for comment.
