LA ICE Raids Get Wild; Protester Makes Bad Decision to Block Van; Mayor Bass' Statement Is Incredible

We’ve seen a lot of wild chaos from anti-ICE protests.

But what happened outside the San Francisco Immigration Court on Tuesday was a straight-up brawl.

Federal agents were attempting to escort a detainee out of a building when they encountered resistance. According to the San Francisco Chronicle, a group of anti-ICE activists was trying to hinder their efforts.

Videos shared on social media depicted a tense situation on Tuesday morning as around 30 protesters tried to obstruct Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents from escorting the detainee to a van in front of the courthouse at 100 Montgomery St. The protesters shouted, physically confronted the agents, and attempted to prevent the van from leaving. The ICE officers, clad in body armor and some wearing masks, demanded they stay back while forcefully pushing them away.

You can see the agents struggling to bring the detainee out through all the anti-ICE people in this , and it’s crazy.

At one point, an ICE agent shouted, “Stay away from my gun!” apparently fearing someone was reaching for it. Despite the chaos, the agents struggled but ultimately succeeded in placing the detainee inside the van.

That’s when a bunch of the activists tried to stand in front of the van. But that was an unwise move. That wasn’t stopping the van.

In videos, as the van departed at least two protesters can be seen clinging to the vehicle as it accelerates past the intersection of Montgomery and Sutter streets. One falls off the car at the crosswalk, while the van sways side to side, seemingly attempting to rock the other protester off of the front windshield. One video shows the protester still clinging to the van as the vehicle approaches the intersection of Post and Montgomery streets, one block further.
