An Afghan national has been taken into custody after allegedly posting a TikTok video in which he claimed to be constructing a bomb targeting the Fort Worth area in Texas, according to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), as reported by Fox News.
Legal documents reveal that Mohammad Dawood Alokozay faces state-level charges for making a terroristic threat.
Alokozay entered the United States through the Biden administration’s Operation Allies Welcome, DHS confirmed. This initiative was designed to resettle Afghans following the U.S. military’s departure from Afghanistan in the summer of 2021.
In a related incident, Rahmanullah Lakanwal, accused of shooting two National Guard members earlier this week in Washington, D.C., also arrived in the U.S. through the same program.

Alokozay’s arrest took place on Tuesday, just one day before the Washington, D.C. shooting. The apprehension was part of a coordinated effort by the Texas Department of Public Safety and an FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force.
