Amanda Knox knows exactly what Joshua Riibe is feeling right now.
A senior from St. Cloud University in Minnesota, thought to be among the final individuals to see University of Pittsburgh student Sudiksha Konanki in the Dominican Republic, departed the Caribbean nation on March 19, according to his attorneys.
Riibe was confined at the Riu Republica resort in Punta Cana under stringent police supervision for 11 days until a judge determined that the situation was against Dominican law. The 22-year-old’s constraints also included the seizure of his phone and passport.

“The disappearance of Sudiksha Konanki is a tragedy, and we can’t fathom the sorrow her family has been experiencing,” he stated. “Sudiksha’s family has shared their belief that she may have drowned. Although the ultimate decision on this matter lies with the authorities in the Dominican Republic, we will offer our full support to the Konanki family.”
