The Velazzio Thermo1 Battery Heated Gloves were found to overheat during use, which poses a severe burn hazard to users.

The recall urged customers to remove the battery from the gloves and properly dispose of them in accordance with local hazardous waste procedures.

The CPSC has received 137 reported incidents of overheating, resulting in 119 burn injuries.

Amazon already took down the popular Velazzio Thermo1 Battery Heated Gloves from its website following the recall.

Chinese manufacturer Jining Liexing Outdoor Products Co., Ltd. produced the recalled gloves.

The products were sold with a black carrying case and charger, and cost between $9 and $140.

Approximately 58,700 units have been sold on Amazon since the product’s launch in September 2019.

The product safety warning number is 25-418.

To correctly dispose of lithium batteries, customers are advised not to discard them in the trash, general recycling, or used battery recycling bins.

Lithium batteries should be disposed of in a more careful manner than other batteries due to its increased fire risk.

To dispose of the lithium battery, Americans should visit their local municipal household hazardous waste collection center.

Customers should contact the HHW center in advance to ensure that they accept lithium battery-powered products.

CATCHING FIRE

Another popular smartwatch was recently recalled due to an increased risk of burn injury.

The CPSC recalled the Altafit af28 smartwatch after 39 customers reported the smartwatch melting, burning and catching on fire while charging.

Velazzio Thermo1 Battery Heated Gloves Recall

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) advises consumers to immediately cease using Velazzio Thermo1 Battery Heated Gloves due to a risk of serious injury.

The gloves may overheat or develop hotspots during use, posing a burn hazard. The CPSC has documented 137 overheating incidents, including 119 burn injuries.

The manufacturer, Jining Liexing Outdoor Products Co., Ltd., of China, has not responded to a request for an acceptable recall.

The gloves are sold in black and feature a rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack in a zippered pocket at the glove’s base. They are accompanied by a black carrying case and charger. Approximately 58,700 units were sold on Amazon from September 2019 to the present, priced between $9 and $140.

The gloves were manufactured in China.

Six customers reported their hands getting burned and property being damaged.

The smartwatches were sold in gold and silver tones and have a 1.68-inch color touchscreen and two bands, one bejeweled and one mesh.

The watches were sold on HSN.com from March to May 2025 for $50.

Around 2,900 units have been sold which are being recalled.

Smartwatch owners are asked to unplug the charging pad.

Customers can contact Deale International to learn how to have their products replaced.
