“1,000-Lb. Sisters” star Amy Slaton was arrested at a Tennessee zoo Monday and charged with drug possession and child endangerment.
Deputies at Tennessee Safari Park were alerted to strange smells from a guest’s vehicle while responding to a call about a camel biting a zoo visitor, as reported by the Crockett County Sheriff’s Department on Facebook.
The 36-year-old reality star was taken into custody and charged with possessing illegal schedule I and schedule VI substances, as well as two counts of endangering a child, according to authorities.
A man who was with Slaton inside the vehicle, Brian Scott Lovvorn, was also arrested on the same charges.
“Both subjects have been booked into the Crockett County Jail,” the sheriff’s department said.
“The charges and allegations referenced in this release are merely accusations of criminal conduct and not evidence.”
Cops released a mugshot of Slaton wearing an orange jumpsuit and looking worse for wear.
Police also shared Lovvorn’s mugshot in the Facebook post.
The news comes after Slaton finalized her divorce from her ex-husband, Michael Halterman, in September 2023.
He filed to end their marriage in March 2023.
In legal documents reviewed by Page Six, Halterman filed for a restraining order to prevent the TLC personality from coming within 500 feet of him. He also requested that they maintain a 500-foot distance from each other’s homes.
The exes eloped in 2017 and said “I do” in front of cameras during a more formal wedding ceremony two years later.
They share sons Gage, 3, and Glenn, 2.
Slaton weighed more than 400 pounds when she first appeared on her popular TV series with her sister, Tammy Slaton, in January 2020.
She has since undergone gastric bypass surgery, which has helped her lose more than 170 pounds.
