Jelly Roll, John Legend, Karol G, Teddy Swims and more are set to perform, the concert will stream live on Disney+ and Hulu
Andrea Bocelli and Pharrell Williams are joining forces to co-direct what’s being called a landmark and spiritual event in the heart of Vatican City.
For the first time, the concert backed by the Vatican will be held on September 13 in St. Peter’s Square. This event will signify the conclusion of the third World Meeting on Human Fraternity and the celebration of the 2025 Jubilee Year.
Both Bocelli and Williams hope the concert event will be a moment of global unity.
Williams stated, “This is a unique cultural occurrence where the world pauses and listens together. It’s a message of unity and grace meant for all humankind.”
Bocelli expressed, “Let us highlight humanity with music originating from the heart of Christianity and the most significant spiritual square, sending a unified message of brotherhood and peace across the globe.”
Cardinal Mauro Gambetti, O.F.M., stated, “On the evening of September 13, fraternity will be showcased, conveyed through music’s universal language and the narratives of those for whom it is a life commitment. Practical words and actions should be introduced into our communities to ensure that fraternity transcends being just an idea, evolving instead into a transformative choice.”
Performances at the concert will include Williams and the Voices of Fire Gospel Choir, Bocelli, Karol G, John Legend, Clipse with Pusha T and Malice, Teddy Swims, Jelly Roll, Angélique Kidjo, among others.
There will also be an aerial drone and light show by Nova Sky Stories, featuring imagery inspired by the Sistine Chapel.
The entire event will stream live exclusively on Disney+, Hulu and ABC News Live on September 13.
The Walt Disney Company is the parent company of Disney+, Hulu and this ABC station.
