Suspects arrested in connection to Gainesville Easter shooting

Three people have been arrested in connection with the shooting at the TB McPherson Center.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The police department announced on Tuesday that three individuals have been detained in relation to a shooting incident at an Easter gathering in Gainesville.

The three suspects involved include:

  • Gabriel Frazier, Jr.
  • Kaniel Edwards
  • Jarrett Jones

The three suspects are held at the Marion County Jail.

Law enforcement officers arrived at the TB McPherson Center following reports of a shooting on Thursday, April 24, where three individuals sustained injuries. It was later confirmed that one of the injured parties, 20-year-old Ontaria Baisden, had passed away.

The Gainesville Police Department distributed surveillance footage displaying a suspect dressed in red shorts and a grey shirt dashing into a group of people. First Coast News inquired whether the person in the footage has been identified, and they are awaiting a response.
