Aussie traveler gets wild at LAX, allegedly yanks agent’s hair

An Australian visitor created a scene at Los Angeles International Airport, reportedly accusing a TSA officer of passport theft before assaulting him by pulling his hair and pushing him into a glass barrier, officials have stated.

Authorities have charged Thomas Jesse Bingham, 35, with instigating the chaotic disturbance in the bustling airport, leaving onlookers in shock as the situation escalated rapidly.

The incident unfolded when Bingham realized his backpack and travel documents were missing, according to the prosecution.

Rather than retracing his movements to locate the missing items, he allegedly directed his suspicion towards a Transportation Security Administration officer.

This accusation quickly turned into a physical altercation.

During the confrontation, Bingham is said to have grabbed the officer’s uniform, ripped off his ID badge, pulled his hair, and forcefully pushed him into a glass wall, based on court documents.

The agent suffered injuries and had to be medically evaluated.

Bingham had been planning a trip to Las Vegas, but his travel itinerary quickly detoured into handcuffs.

Authorities say he was initially detained and later re-arrested before trying to catch a flight to the United Kingdom, a move that didn’t get very far.

He now faces a federal charge of assaulting a federal officer, which carries a potential sentence of up to eight years behind bars.

Safe to say, his next destination won’t require a boarding pass.
