The man accused of killed four people at a Montana bar on Friday morning lived next door to it, according to the Montana Department of Justice.

Authorities have identified the accused shooter, 45-year-old Michael Paul Brown, who allegedly entered the Owl Bar in Anaconda and began shooting. Brown remains on the run, and efforts to locate him carried on through the weekend.

“The ongoing search is concentrated in the area surrounding Stumptown Road, utilizing ground and aerial support from several local, state, and federal agencies,” the Montana Department of Justice announced on Saturday morning.

The department also verified that the deceased victims were one bartender and three patrons, though their identities have not been publicly disclosed.

Brown is reported to have arrived at the bar around 10:30 a.m. and started shooting, resulting in four fatalities, as per Lee Johnson, the administrator of investigations with the Montana Department of Justice.

A motive for the shooting is still unknown at this time.

The Anaconda-Deer Lodge County Law Enforcement Center advises anyone who encounters Brown to contact 911 immediately, noting that he is considered armed and dangerous.
