Baltimore police say officer shot and hospitalized, suspect shot in 'active shooter incident'

In Baltimore, a police officer and a suspect were both wounded during what officials are calling an “active shooter situation” on Tuesday.

The event unfolded at 6200 Park Heights Avenue, located in the northwest region of Baltimore, according to police reports.

“An officer has sustained injuries and has been taken to Shock Trauma,” the Baltimore Police announced in a social media update on X. “A suspect was also injured. Please steer clear of the vicinity. Additional details will be shared as they become available.”
