The ongoing effort to expel dangerous illegal immigrant offenders from our nation is facing challenges, as expected, from a judge appointed during Biden’s administration. There are several elements to explore regarding this situation.
Initially, on Tuesday, a federal district judge, Brian E. Murphy, issued a directive requiring the Department of Homeland Security to continue holding any illegal immigrants subject to deportation to a third-party country, meaning a country other than the United States or their native country. This ruling particularly involves eight illegal immigrants from Vietnam, Mexico, Cuba, Myanmar, and other nations, all convicted of serious offenses and scheduled for deportation to South Sudan. For now, the deportation flights for these individuals have been paused.
The order can be reviewed here. It seems to emphasize the specifics of the deportation process, including how much notice each individual received and their opportunity to contest their deportation. An additional hearing with Judge Murphy is being held on Wednesday morning, at the time of this writing.
A Fox News piece briefly described the eight criminals in question.
The plane is carrying eight men – all of whom convicted of crimes ranging from homicide to robbery, according to details exclusively provided by the Department of Homeland Security. The DHS unveiled details of the crimes after U.S. District Judge Brian Murphy threatened to order the return of the migrants at a Wednesday hearing.
“No country on earth wanted to accept [the migrants] because their crimes are so uniquely monstrous and barbaric,” Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs Tricia McLaughlin said at a press conference Wednesday. “These heinous individuals have terrorized American streets for too long.”
“While we are fully compliant with the law and court orders, it is absurd for a district judge to try to dictate the foreign policy and national security of the United States of America,” McLaughlin said.

Ms. McLaughlin states in part:
While we are fully compliant with the law, and court orders, it is absolutely absurd for a district judge to try to dictate foreign policy and national security of the United States of America.
Also on Wednesday, Fox News’ Bill Melugin had more details as to the goblins in question:
NEW: ICE identifies the 8 aliens on the South Sudan deportation flight manifest. All have egregious criminal convictions, including multiple murderers and sex offenders. Only one person on the flight is from South Sudan, the rest are from Cuba, Burma, Vietnam, and Mexico. It’s… pic.twitter.com/FyNROVHxAP

Mr. Melugin’s X post continues:
This is where things stand: The illegal alien criminals in question, most notably the eight that were headed to South Sudan, will, for the time being, remain here in the United States.
