Alabama man arrested in multi-million-dollar fraud scheme

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) — A Birmingham man is accused of committing rape and sodomy from 2015 to 2016 in Baldwin County.

According to the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office, 35-year-old David Anderson was arrested after officials started investigating him Jan. 13.

Officials stated a 14-year-old girl reported the abuse, documenting “numerous sexual encounters” between the two. At the time of the alleged incidents, the girl would have been 4 to 5 years old. Deputies said Anderson and the victim lived at the same home during that time.

The BCSO noted Anderson was apprehended in Birmingham. Anderson is accused of first-degree rape and first-degree sodomy.
