More Details on Lemon Arrest As Bondi Confirms - Three Others Arrested As Well

Prepare for a wave of reactions today as news breaks of Don Lemon’s arrest in Los Angeles. Expect significant uproar, with many decrying the situation as an affront to the First Amendment.

Details about the arrest are slowly emerging. Reports indicate that Lemon was taken into custody shortly after midnight, between Thursday night and Friday morning, at a hotel in the city.

He had been in Los Angeles to cover the Grammys, a task that now seems likely to be disrupted, at least temporarily, by his current legal predicament.

Speculation is rife that a grand jury may have been involved in the lead-up to this arrest, as suggested by sources like CBS.

He was in Los Angeles to report on the Grammys, so it sounds like this is going to put a cramp in his ability to cover that, at least for a little bit.

It sounds like they may have gone to a grand jury, according to CBS.

A source familiar with the matter said a grand jury was empaneled Thursday. FBI and HSI were involved in the arrest, sources say.

Attorney General Pam Bondi confirmed the arrest and explained he wasn’t the only person arrested.

At my direction, early this morning federal agents arrested Don Lemon, Trahern Jeen Crews, Georgia Fort, and Jamael Lydell Lundy, in connection with the coordinated attack on Cities Church in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Three other people had already been arrested in connection with the church storming.
