In Jacksonville, Florida, a man is on the road to recovery after being involved in a shooting incident at a Grand Park residence on Monday afternoon. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO) provided details about the incident that unfolded in the 2500 block of West 25th Street.
Authorities responded to the scene shortly after 2 p.m. upon receiving reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they discovered a man inside his home suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim, believed to be in his early 30s, had managed to retreat indoors after the altercation escalated.
The incident reportedly began with a confrontation between the victim and another man in the victim’s driveway. The two were engaged in a conversation while the victim was seated in a gray BMW. An argument ensued, leading to the suspect opening fire as the victim stepped out of the vehicle. Despite being shot in the torso and legs, the victim succeeded in making his way back into the safety of his home.
Currently, the victim is in stable condition and underwent surgery on Monday night to address his injuries. The investigation is ongoing, and JSO urges anyone with information about the shooting or the suspect to come forward.
