Three arrested in connection with Waycross murder, police say


The Waycross Police Department has apprehended three individuals in connection with the shooting death of Lawrence Woods, which occurred on Isabella Street. All three suspects are now facing charges of murder.

WAYCROSS, Ga. — On Wednesday night, the Waycross Police Department announced the arrest of three suspects linked to the fatal shooting of 35-year-old Lawrence Woods.

Officers responded to reports of gunfire on Isabella Street around 9:30 p.m. on November 29. Upon arriving at the scene, they found Woods deceased.

Following a swift investigation, police arrested 38-year-old Alex Taylor on November 30, and 27-year-old Willie Edwards on December 1. The third suspect, 31-year-old Keitric McCaskey, was taken into custody on Wednesday.

All suspects are currently held at the Ware County Jail on murder charges. The police department has indicated that more charges may be filed as the investigation unfolds.
