Brooke Hogan’s husband has taken sly shots at his wife’s parents, Linda and Hulk Hogan, as he leapt to her defense in the midst of their bitter family feud. 

Brooke, 36, and her mother Linda, 65, have been embroiled in a hostile exchange of words this week after the latter lodged a series of shocking claims against the family. 

Linda, the ex-wife of Hogan, posted a troubling video in which she accused the WWE star of being a ‘complete liar’ and a ‘sex addict’.

She also said the wrestling icon, whose real name is Terry Bollea, left their family ‘in the worst mess’ after Brooke cut both her parents out of her life.

Brooke later fired back, sparking the fierce back-and-forth between the mother and daughter. 

Now, former NHL player Steven Oleksy has taken to social media to defend his wife from the numerous attacks on her character.

In a lengthy statement shared on Instagram Sunday, Oleksy, who has been married to Brooke since 2022, said he could no longer stand by as his wife was publicly attacked. 

‘I cannot stand by and allow anyone to continue to hurt not only the most amazing person I am fortunate enough to call my wife, but also the distorted sense of power and relevance the media can sometimes grant individuals,’ the 39-year-old said. 

Oleksy, who also thanked fans for their support, never referred to Linda by name, instead opting to dub her ‘Jane Doe,’ but shut down a number of allegations made by her. 

‘The claim that my wife broke “Jane Doe’s” collarbone was laughable to those who know the truth,’ he wrote. ‘I myself have only h a d one sip of alcohol in my life, and that was to celebrate a Stanley Cup championship victory at the age of 32.

‘My wife will have the occasional cocktail or glass of wine, but neither of us has ever used drugs or any other substance that may alter reality. So, it should be understood that the suggestion that my wife is a party girl or drunk comes shortly after the assertion that I had never met “Jane Doe” and that she didn’t know my name-despite the fact that we sat at the same lunch table and even took a picture together.’

He also dismissed claims that the couple tied the knot without the knowledge of the family as unfair as they were reportedly left with no option when ‘another party involved’ said ‘they don’t do weddings or funerals.’ 

Again, while Olesky doesn’t name the other party, it is implied that said person is Hulk.  

‘Unfortunately, it was the only viable option when another party involved said, “I don’t do weddings or funerals anymore,” which is perplexing, considering that same person has attended multiple weddings since then, and even had a wedding of their own,’ the former hockey defenseman continued.

Olesky shared multiple other anecdotes, including the other party’s refusal to attend a Stevie Nicks concert as he ‘doesn’t do concerts anymore,’ only to later attend other shows. 

‘One of the most heartbreaking moments occurred when she renovated and designed a home for this individual purely out of kindness, for free, with no expectation of anything in return,’ Olesky explained. ‘All she asked for was a simple request: to watch a sunset together. Her gesture was met with a cold shoulder, and the individual walked away, leaving her behind to watch the sunset alone. 

‘My wife, understanding the value of time and love over anything material, made a final, resolute decision. She asked to be removed from all future financial  involvement, requesting her release from documents that had her in a substantial fiduciary and financial position once certain events transpired. She said to me, “If I can’t have honesty and time with them, I don’t want anything.”‘

Brooke herself had fired back at her mom earlier this week, insisting her father was not the only reason behind the family divide that Linda had taken issue with. 

Linda responded by denying she ever abused her daughter. She claimed she was attacked herself and branded Brooke ‘a narcissist just like her dad’. ‘I haven’t talked to her for seven years – almost eight years now,’ Linda said.

Brooke later posted a family picture that she said disproves that claim.

But the drama continued on Friday night, when Linda told TMZ that ‘the love is gone’ from their relationship.

She admitted to ‘maybe’ spanking Brooke on one occasion, ‘when she was seven years old’. But Linda believes her daughter is conflating parental discipline for ‘abuse’ as a way of damaging her mom’s reputation, TMZ claims.

Hogan and Linda were married for 26 years between 1983 and 2009. They have two children together – Brooke, 36, and Nick, 34.

Hogan remarried in 2010, tying the knot with Jennifer McDaniel, but they split 11 years later. He married his third wife – Sky Daily – in 2023, in a ceremony that Brooke did not attend. 

The WWE star’s ex-wife told TMZ she was forced to be the ‘bad cop’ during their children’s upbringing because Hogan was a soft touch who wanted to be liked. 

Linda reportedly believes Brooke sidelined her to stay in her father’s good books following their divorce – so as not to miss out on the fame and money.

According to TMZ, Linda claims to have repeatedly tried and failed to build bridges with Brooke over recent years. But now, claims someone close to the daughter, ‘there’s not a snowball’s chance in hell they’ll ever speak again’.

Brooke reportedly denies ever attacking her mother, insisting it is a lie that she broke her mother’s collarbone. 

Linda has not remarried since her divorce from Hogan. In her video on Wednesday, she hit out at Hogan for preventing her from having a relationship with Brooke, who welcomed twins with Olesky in January.

‘It’s been 15 however long years since I left Hulk Hogan and my family is the worst mess,’ a tearful Linda explained.

‘Brooke doesn’t talk to us. She had twins, she got married [and] she didn’t tell us. She had a huge fight with Terry. I don’t know how that reflected onto me. But she cut me out too. I haven’t talked to her for seven years – almost eight years now.’ 

Brooke gave her own version of events on Thursday, claiming she was ‘verbally and mentally abused’ during her childhood.

Addressing her decision to cut ties with her mother and father, Brooke wrote: ‘I have completely separate reasons for going no contact with each of my parents. 

‘No contact with my Mom has nothing to do with my Dad, and no contact with my Father has nothing to do with my Mother.

‘This also pertains to my dad’s second and third, now current wife. This decision was made based purely on how they have each dealt with me directly my entire life.’

She added: ‘I have been EXTREMELY verbally and mentally abused since childhood. Sadly, it would frequently turn physical. And sometimes it’s not by the person you would assume, abuse comes in all shapes and sizes.’

‘I so badly wanted to see good in them, protect, help, and start anew – just to be disrespected again and again,’ she wrote. ‘I longed for a normal family, but it never came to fruition. 

‘I’ve repeatedly held my hand out to help them, only to have them pull me into the darkness with them. I’ve set boundaries that were not respected, and at this point, I can truly do no more.’
