Brunswick Police Officer Andrea Williams, aged 41, finds herself facing legal trouble as she has been charged with criminal trespass related to a family violence case.
BRUNSWICK, Ga. — The Brunswick Police Department has announced that Officer Andrea Williams has been placed on administrative leave following her arrest on Monday evening. The arrest stemmed from a domestic dispute that prompted police intervention.
According to the Brunswick Police Department, Glynn County officers responded to a call at a residence on Red Oak Drive around 7:30 p.m. Upon investigation, authorities determined that Officer Williams was allegedly involved in the incident.
As a result, Williams was taken into custody and charged with criminal trespass concerning family violence.
The Brunswick Police Department has stated that Officer Williams will remain on administrative leave as the investigation continues.
Chief Angela Smith commented on the situation, stating, “The Brunswick Police Department is dedicated to upholding integrity and accountability. Ensuring public safety is always our foremost concern.”
