Brush fire engulfs 13 homes in flames in Orange County

More than 12 homes overlooking the ocean near Laguna Beach in Orange County have been engulfed in flames as fast-moving brush fire spreads is fueled by strong winds.

The fire ignited near a water treatment facility between Laguna Niguel and Laguna Beach at 2.44pm, according to ABC7, and had quickly grown to 30 acres by 5pm.

Evacuations have been ordered in the area as authorities work to get the fire under control.

Luxury resort and golf course – The Ranch at Laguna Beach – has been evacutated.
