Thousands of Iranians attend a funeral procession.

THE funeral for the Iranian commanders wiped out in the war has been plagued by “Death to America” chants and the burning of Israeli flags.

Reports indicate that over a million individuals have gathered along the streets of Tehran, only hours after Donald Trump issued a warning that he would bomb the hostile regime once more if they ever challenge the US.

Twisted chants of “Death to America” could be heard ringing out across the event today as pro-Ayatollah mourners flocked to the public procession.

The coffins of key military commanders and nuclear scientists, all targeted and killed by Israel during the intense 12-day conflict, were paraded through the city.

General Hossein Salami, the chief of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps and recognized as one of the country’s most influential military figures, along with General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, were among those being honored and buried.

Both were directly targeted by Israel for their role in developing Tehran’s ballistic missile program.

The two twisted generals were taken out within hours of the conflict kicking off on June 13.

Some mourners even started to trample on the flags of Israel and the US as the caskets came past with others setting them alight.

It comes amid a surging number of Iranians who are turning against the evil regime following the war.

Many have voiced their issues with Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was again nowhere to be seen at the funeral.

The cowering 86-year-old hasn’t been seen in person for almost two weeks now and is said to have been forced into a secret bunker amid threats on his life from both Trump and Israel.

The US president has even claimed he saved the Ayatollah from an “ugly death” by ordering Israeli jets to turn around mid-air during an attack.

Calls have increased among civilians for the Ayatollah’s regime to be taken down – and for a new democratic republic to take shape.

Trump hinted at a regime change in a post on Truth Social as he demanded “Make Iran Great Again” – but the White House said it was not one of the authority’s official goals.

Funeral-goers at one point did pledge their allegiance to the twisted leader as they chanted: “Oh noble Leader, we are ready!”

Around 60 caskets were wheeled out with many being draped in the national colours of red, white and green.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi – now among the most high-profile names in Tehran’s cabinet – led the procession.

He made a rare admission as he said the number of lives lost in the short-lived conflict is “hard and painful”.

The war in the Middle East quickly turned into a major conflict when Trump decided to strike Iranian nuclear sites.

The US joined Israel on decimating nuclear facilities on June 22 – launching 12 30,000lb bunker busting bombs.

Trump hailed the strikes and said they obliterated the nuke sites as planned.

Tehran admitted that Operation Midnight Hammer and Israeli attacks had caused “excessive and serious” damage to the nuclear facilities.

The attacks helped to end the war with both Israel and Iran quickly declaring they had won the fight – despite Iran suffering a major blow to their nuclear capabilities.

Now, the President has said he would “absolutely” consider bombing Iran again if needed.

He told reporters in the White House he would “without question” attack the country if US intelligence pointed towards Iran enriching uranium to concerning levels.

Israel-Iran ceasefire could be a diplomatic triumph for Trump

By Professor Michael Clarke

DONALD Trump’s style is diplomacy on steroids.

There’s a concept known as Trump Time, which is three times faster than everybody else wants to move at.

Generally, that creates disasters, but given the law of averages, that sort of disruption sometimes works out.

Despite his F-bomb attack on Israel and Iran for breaking the ceasefire, the events of the last few days could turn into a diplomatic triumph for President Trump.

He took a massive military risk at the weekend to bomb three Iranian sites using B-2 bombers carrying their Massive Ordnance Penetrator bombs, alongside 30 Tomahawk cruise missiles fired from an Ohio-class submarine, probably the USS Georgia cruising somewhere under the Arabian Sea.

If US action has not effectively destroyed the Iranian nuclear programme, it has certainly set it back a long way.

When the Iranians responded with an attack on the US airbase in Qatar in a rather careful and measured way, we all wondered what Trump would do.

Would he ignore it or authorise more American airstrikes against Iran?

When he suddenly announced an overnight ceasefire, presumably negotiated over the telephone, it was fairly astonishing – Trump Time again.

But immediate ceasefires tend not to be very stable.

Ceasefires usually take some time to negotiate so everybody knows what’s supposed to happen and when it’s supposed to happen.

A monitoring mechanism is needed to make sure it doesn’t fall apart by accident.
