OREM, Utah – Law enforcement officials have confiscated a home surveillance camera that may provide critical evidence as they urgently work to apprehend a suspected assassin after conservative speaker Charlie Kirk was shot dead on Wednesday.
A person at the home told Fox News Digital that he believes his camera recorded the person of interest in a neighbor’s backyard.
Officers and agents from the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives were observed at the residence. One individual climbed a ladder and dismantled the entire floodlight fixture, incorporating a home security camera.

The FBI distributed two images of a man dressed in black they have labeled a “person of interest” linked to the shooting. Bohls mentioned they also discovered a palm print, footprint, and a forearm impression.
Videos capturing the event show onlookers shrieking in terror and scrambling for cover after Kirk was struck in the neck by a bullet. He was taken to a hospital and later confirmed deceased.
Other footage circulating online appears to depict a figure dressed in dark clothing on a rooftop. Authorities indicated the shot was fired from around 200 yards away, likely from a vantage point atop the Losee Center building, which is positioned across the courtyard from where Kirk was addressing the audience under a tent.
