CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) — A woman is facing charges of chemical endangerment and drug possession following a search warrant that was executed in Cherokee County overnight.
The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office said deputies initially responded to Gaylesville home on reports of a domestic dispute. However, once there, deputies found sufficient evidence to obtain and execute a search warrant at the property.
Methamphetamine, illegal prescription pills, and drug paraphernalia were allegedly located inside the home as deputies searched. 41-year-old Lacy Timmons was taken into custody as a result of the search and will be charged with two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, chemical endangerment of a child, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and third degree domestic violence.
Timmons was arrested at the scene and taken to Cherokee County Detention Center.
