Weekend: A freeze warning continues through 8 AM this morning for Central Alabama. A gradual warming trend begins Saturday afternoon as highs return to the upper 50s, followed by middle 60s on Sunday. We remain dry both days under a mostly clear sky.

Next Week: Another front arrives early in the week serving as a focal point for a few showers Monday evening. Longer term, a storm system arrives for the second half of the week bringing the potential for a round of rain and potentially strong thunderstorms by Thanksgiving. Based on the current trends, we’ll need to mention the possibility for a few severe storms. This forecast is not set in stone, but confidence will increase over the next couple days, so check back for updates.

Once the rain ends, sharply colder air arrives in time for the weekend.
