On Saturday, I reported on yet another ridiculous effort by Joe Biden to shift the blame for gas prices to someone other than himself. We need to keep a running list of all the other people he’s blamed for the skyrocketing prices including Vladimir Putin, oil companies price gouging, and now, people who run gas stations.
My message to the companies running gas stations and setting prices at the pump is simple: this is a time of war and global peril.
Bring down the price you are charging at the pump to reflect the cost you’re paying for the product. And do it now.

“My message to the companies running gas stations and setting prices at the pump is simple: this is a time of war and global peril,” Biden falsely claimed. No, Joe, we’re not at war, no matter how much you might want to throw all out money at Ukraine. “Bring down the price you are charging at the pump to reflect the cost you’re paying for the product. And do it now,” Biden demanded of the station owners.
As we reported, that didn’t go over well with most Americans, including Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.
Ouch. Inflation is far too important a problem for the White House to keep making statements like this. It’s either straight ahead misdirection or a deep misunderstanding of basic market dynamics.

“Ouch. Inflation is far too important a problem for the White House to keep making statements like this.” Bezos said. “It’s either straight ahead misdirection or a deep misunderstanding of basic market dynamics.” Exactly right, it isn’t the gas station owners who are responsible for the high prices. They are barely making pennies off the gas but Biden appears in denial because the reality is it’s his bad policies that have led us to this point. This wasn’t the first time that Bezos called out Biden for lying about inflation, he also blasted him on Twitter in May, as I reported.
We’re not a Communist country and Joe Biden isn’t our Dear Leader or a king. He doesn’t get to tell private businesses what to do, because he says so. We have a rule of law and a Constitution, even if Joe doesn’t like that. We were in a “war” in Afghanistan under prior Presidents for the past twenty years. But we didn’t see the alleged “gouging” that Biden is now trying to blame on oil companies and the gas stations, under President Donald Trump. So no, Joe, everyone knows it’s on you and your blame-shifting isn’t flying.
But guess who else responded to Biden’s rant? Chen Weihua, the China Daily EU Bureau Chief. China Daily is state-affiliated media and Chen is constantly pushing out anti-American propaganda. With his ridiculous tweet, Biden gave him an opening. Chen used Biden’s tweet to attack the American system and call it exploitative.
Now US President finally realized that capitalism is all about exploitation. He didn’t believe this before.

When Biden is giving ammunition to the Chinese, you know how bad it’s getting. But that’s where we are with Joe Biden. He thinks he can operate like his Chinese buddies and he doesn’t care about how his lies and attacks on America help serve the Chinese propaganda.

Americans had great responses to the Chinese attack.
Cool story. Don’t you have some death camps to oversee?

But Joe Biden wasn’t done quite yet with the blame-shifting. On Sunday, he was blaming Republicans.
Under my plan for the economy, we’ve made extraordinary progress. We’ve put America in a position to tackle the worldwide problem of inflation from a place of strength. The problem is Republicans in Congress are doing everything they can to stop my plans to bring down costs.
— President Biden (@POTUS) July 3, 2022
But Democrats are in power, not Republicans. Republicans aren’t stopping any great “plans” that Joe Biden has. The only “plan” that Biden has seemed to put into play has been to blame-shift. But when you do it so much, no one believes you anymore.
The Republican National Committee skewered Biden’s blame-shifting with a graph that showed it had nothing to do with Putin, gas station owners, or Republicans — it was all on Biden.
