Chipotle launches jersey-themed BOGO deal for college football fans

The chain is offering a BOGO deal Sept. 15 for fans who wear a college football jersey to celebrate the season kickoff.

WASHINGTON — Football enthusiasts have an opportunity for a unique deal at Chipotle tomorrow! The Mexican restaurant chain is introducing its inaugural “Wear Your College Football Jersey” promotion.

Guests who wear a college football jersey to U.S. restaurants after 5 p.m. local time will receive a buy-one-get-one free entrée deal.

“it’s the most wonderful time of the year 🏈 wear any college football jersey this MONDAY 9/15 after 5pm & get a BOGO on us,” Chipotle announced in a post on its X account.

The offer is limited to a maximum of five complimentary menu items per check, while supplies last. To claim the promotion, customers need to order inside the restaurant.

Customers must first purchase an entree item that’s equal or greater value to the free item. The offer excludes kids’ meals.

The news comes not long after Chipotle announced the return of the popular Carne Asada.

The seasoned steak, marinated and grilled with a unique spice combination and finished with lime and cilantro, has been among Chipotle’s most favored limited-time offerings since its introduction in 2019. This is the fourth time it has returned to the menu.

Carne Asada will be available for a limited time while supplies last at Chipotle locations across the U.S. and Canada.

Although the “Wear Your College Football Jersey” promotion covers all entrées, Chipotle suggests it as a great chance to sample Carne Asada. Chipotle is also removing delivery fees on all Carne Asada orders placed through its app or website until Sept. 30.
