News Nation anchor Chris Cuomo opened up his show’s phone lines to encourage listeners to admit their mistakes, leading to a surprising flood of Democrats expressing their satisfaction with President Trump.
The host of “Cuomo” and brother to disgraced former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo asked Americans to open up and “admit what they were wrong about.”
Unexpectedly, Cuomo was met with a series of Democratic callers confessing they had misjudged the President, previously viewed as a deeply divisive figure. These callers admitted they were mistaken about the man many had likened to a historic tyrant.
The segment began with Chrissy, a caller who praised Trump’s handling of illegal immigration and expressed satisfaction with her revived 401(k). Contrary to common predictions, the stock market had not collapsed.
Identifying as a “proud Democrat,” Chrissy candidly admitted, “I was wrong about Trump,” during her time on Cuomo’s show.
When asked by Cuomo to clarify, she focused on immigration and financial stability, stating, “I’m pleased with immigration policies and thrilled that my 401(k) hasn’t suffered.”
“There’s a few things that I just thought would go wrong, and I’m very happy.”
“I’m not too proud to say that I [was] wrong about Trump. I’m a proud Democrat and he’s done a lot of things…”
“How so?”
“Immigration. I’m happy about what’s happening with immigration. I thought the stock market would tank—and I’m pretty happy with my 401(k).” pic.twitter.com/n4f4Mq8rMC
