Coachella attendees are in an uproar over reports of last-minute Airbnb cancellations, leaving many scrambling for accommodations.
An influencer experienced a highly emotional moment on camera, revealing that her lodging for the four-day desert festival was canceled mere days before the event.
Known online as Drea Views, she took to TikTok to express her frustration, sharing that she woke up to a notification stating, “Your reservation was canceled.”
She posted a screenshot of the alleged message from Airbnb, explaining, “I secured my booking back in September, and now, suddenly, my Airbnb reservation was canceled this morning.”
“Rebooking is incredibly expensive now,” she lamented. “Has anyone else faced this today? There’s so much investment of money, time, and energy in planning a trip like this.”
She further commented, “It’s very inconsiderate of the Airbnb host to leave us in such a bind. While I believe everything happens for a reason, I can’t help but feel sad and disappointed.”
Luckily, the woman said she was eventually able to find a “new place in time for Coachella,” in a second post.
There were other posts similar to Drea Views shared on Instagram by an influencer who goes by the name Assante Madrigal.
In his post he shared clips of social media influencers claiming that their stay for Coachella was canceled before the festival.
One person said they were notified that their reservation was reportedly canceled because the host wanted to raise the price per night.
“They want to raise the price to $1600 from $500 a night,” the person said in a TikTok.
In the Instagram post, Madrigal said that Influencers said “they were invited to Coachella just to be uninvited right before.”

In a statement to The Post, Airbnb said that they’re “not seeing any notable uptick in cancellations over Coachella weekend.”
The company also said that they’ve been in contact with those guests who have reached out online about their concerns.
Airbnb said that they were unable to verify some of the claims that had been made on various platforms because the guests either had no record of booking with them or did not respond back to them.
“Festival‑goers trust Airbnb for their Coachella stays because we offer options that fit all budgets and reliability, with protections against rare issues like cancellations,” the statement read.
“We know host cancellations can disrupt plans, which is why we have deterrents, including cancellation fees, calendar blocks to prevent rebooking, and a ban on relisting for a higher price, as well as 24/7 guest support.”
“When it comes to periods of high demand, like big events, we find that where demand for listings on Airbnb increases, typically supply does too, which helps give guests options,” it added. “Individual listings that are priced higher are unlikely to be booked by guests.”
