Although the attack on Jewish couple Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim is widely condemned across the political spectrum, several individuals highlight the issue as stemming from the left’s reluctance to acknowledge the antisemitism present in public universities and a media that fails to call it out over recent years.
“We have allowed this hate and antisemitism to flourish,” Meghan McCain posted on X. She argues that this behavior has become normalized, with people in educational institutions, media, podcasts, and political offices spreading this animosity towards Jews. She notes, “They wear their Keffiyehs and shout FREE PALESTINE. Am Yisrael Chai.”
CNN commentator Scott Jennings reacted to a report indicating the alleged suspect was affiliated with the “party for socialism and liberation” in Chicago, stating, “The violent war on Western civilization originates from the radical left. Make no mistake – it is present right now, and we must not ignore it.”
Later, he wrote on X,” If Biden or Harris were president, we’d be getting a scolding right now for this epidemic of Islamophobia.”
Just days ago, the FBI stopped an attack by a jihadist in Michigan. His stated goal was to murder Americans & Jews, among others. His ISIS handlers ended up being feds, thankfully, but he’d reportedly made contact with sources in ‘Palestine.’
They’re globalizing the intifada.

Townhall’s Guy Benson reminded everyone that, “Just days ago, the FBI stopped an attack by a jihadist in Michigan. His stated goal was to murder Americans & Jews, among others. His ISIS handlers ended up being feds, thankfully, but he’d reportedly made contact with sources in ‘Palestine.’ They’re globalizing the intifada.”
Barstool President Dave Portnoy made a lengthy post on X, calling the murder the “natural progression of events” of leftists running our colleges, leading our country, and in the media.
The least surprising part about this tragedy is that the [alleged] killer hated America long before the conflict in the Middle East. He was an active member of the Party for Socialism & Liberation and the People’s Congress of Resistance. He was a serial agitator, as so many of the Free Palestine movement are. For them, this isn’t just about the war in Gaza. This is about hating America and our way of life. And the more that antisemitism is normalized in this country, the more it emboldens these lunatics to commit these heinous acts.
“The bottom line is that nobody in this country should be intimidated or fear for their safety because of their religion, but here we are,” Portnoy concluded.
Political leaders and commentators have been united in calling out the murder of the young Jewish couple, including Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA), and Republican Vice President JD Vance, among many others.
“Yaron Lischinsky. Sarah Milgrim. A beautiful young couple, about to be engaged, just starting their lives, gunned down seemingly because they were Jewish,” Schumer wrote on X. This was a cold-blooded murder of two Jewish staffers from the Israeli Embassy. Such a blatant and targeted act of antisemitism should outrage everyone.”
The vice president wrote, “My heart breaks for Sarah Milgrim and Yaron Lischinsky, who were murdered last night at the Capital Jewish Museum. Antisemitic violence has no place in the United States. We’re praying for their families and all of our friends at the Israeli Embassy, where the two victims worked.”
