BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — INTERNEWSCAST contributed to news coverage of MLB at Rickwood Field: A Tribute to the Negro Leagues, as the San Francisco Giants faced the St. Louis Cardinals Thursday night.

Reporter Sidney Spencer spoke to fans who came from across the county to witness MLB history at Rickwood Field.

Reporter Maddie McQueen spoke to fans who took a shuttle service to and from Rickwood Field.

INTERNEWSCAST’s Sherri Jackson was joined by Rep. Terri Sewell, White House Public Engagement director Stephen Benjamin and two members of the Congressional Black Caucus ahead of the first pitch.

Sherri Jackson also spoke with former Birmingham mayor William Bell, who was attending the game.

INTERNEWSCAST’s Dee Jackson also spoke to broadcaster Chip Caray at the MLB at Rickwood Field game.
