Bodycam video from the Waterbury Police Department captures Kimberly Sullivan, a suspected child abuser in Connecticut, refuting claims that her stepson, who reportedly endured 20 years locked in a storage closet at their residence, was held captive.
The footage, accessed by Fox News Digital, reveals that one of Sullivan’s daughters arrived at the location soon after authorities on February 17, the day police reported her 32-year-old stepson ignited a fire in the home in a bid to flee from years of alleged mistreatment and confinement.
Sullivan’s daughter retrieved her in a black Acura, remaining nearby as firefighters tackled the flames and rescued Sullivan’s unnamed stepson from the premises.
In the footage, which is partially redacted, Sullivan, 56, explains to an officer what happened after the fire started.

Police previously released footage showing Sullivan’s stepson being carried out of the home and into an ambulance.
Fox News Digital reached out to Sullivan’s attorney Ioannis Kaloidis through a spokesperson.
