Woke protestor ripped for missing joke on 'gays of Hormuz'

She might want to reconsider the value of that Ivy League education.

A humorous interaction from the March 28 No Kings Rally in Manhattan has taken the internet by storm. A video capturing a progressive protestor mistakenly lamenting society’s treatment of the fictional “gays of Hormuz” has gone viral.

Comedian Lionel Leede cleverly played with words when he asked an anti-Trump protestor, “Isn’t it a little homophobic that we’re so focused on the straights of Hormuz — and not the gays of Hormuz?” This was a play on the Strait of Hormuz, a vital oil passage affected by the conflict in Iran.

“For sure,” the protestor replied.

Commentors on social media were savage with some noting the interviewer reminded them of actor Sacha Baron-Cohen’s infamous prankster character.

“I admire her courage to speak in the complete absence of knowledge,” wrote one.

“They’re always somehow so well spoken and articulate with their big words yet have absolutely nothing upstairs,” chimed in another.

“Somebody has watched too much Ali G,” someone else wrote.
