A cybersecurity expert unknowingly rented his Arizona home to global superstar Rihanna during Super Bowl week for $500,000, covering two years of his mortgage.
Spyro Malaspinas, 48, of Paradise Valley, leased his $7.3million five-bedroom, five-bathroom home to Rihanna for six days prior to the Super Bowl, but he didn’t have a clue the Super Bowl headliner was the one offering him a price he couldn’t pass up.
‘My daughter was absolutely thrilled,’ Malaspinas told the Wall Street Journal. ‘The last thing I am is a real estate baron. My pride’s not that big. I don’t mind moving out for $500,000 a week.’
The 6,400-square-foot San Miguel Avenue home is conveniently located 30 minutes away from State Farm Stadium – where the Super Bowl was held on February 12 – and provides stunning amenities, including a large in-ground pool, a seating area with a fireplace attached to the pool, and plenty of space both in and outdoors for entertaining.

The pool area has a chic design with a square tiles set into the grass, as well as loungers that sit in the pool and a personal covered bar top.
The one-story home has two living rooms, a private gym, a wine cellar, and large backyard fit for lounging in the Arizona sun. It also has a bocce court, a pickle ball court, and a putting green, according to TMZ.
The kitchen has a gorgeous marble island with soft, light wooden cabinets with golden accents on the stove’s hood and the hardware around the space. It’s connected to a small dining area that sits between the kitchen and a small sitting area.
Much of the home has wooden beams attached to the ceiling and large windows to allow plenty of natural light in.
The bathrooms have an all-white design with a white tub with a chandelier above it, a white marbled shower, and a large vanity.

The cybersecurity expert has yet to move back into the one-acre property – which sits between Phoenix and Scottsdale – since Rihanna occupied the home as he’s been offered a ‘crazy amounts of money’ to sell the home, which he purchased in 2022.

Rihanna started off the show suspended on a platform high above the field as she belted out her single B**ch Better Have My Money. She was dressed in a baggy scarlet jumpsuit that covered up her curves and was strapped loosely on her.
She shares her first child, who was born on May 13, 2022, with the rapper A$AP Rocky, who kept a low profile at the event. The two have kept their growing family under the radar, and so far neither musician has shared the name of their child.
