The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) has announced a reward of $50,000 for information leading to the capture of an 18-year-old implicated in the shooting death of a Capitol Hill intern in Washington, D.C.

Authorities have identified the suspect as Naqwan Antonio Lucas, 18, from Granby, Massachusetts, who is wanted on a D.C. Superior Court arrest warrant for premeditated first-degree murder while armed.

Two additional 17-year-old suspects, Kelvin Thomas, of Southeast, D.C. and Jailen Lucas

In addition to the usual reward, the FBI’s Washington Field Office and the U.S. Marshals Service have both pledged extra amounts, with an additional $15,000 from the FBI and $10,000 from the Marshals, raising the total reward to $50,000 for the apprehension of Naqwan Lucas.

Officials advise anyone with knowledge of Naqwan Lucas’ whereabouts to avoid taking any action themselves and instead contact the police at 202-727-9099 or send a text tip to 50411.
