Disney Branded Television has unveiled the complete trailer and poster for “Vampirina: Teenage Vampire,” giving audiences a fresh perspective on the live-action adaptation of the cherished character. The series is set to debut on Thursday, Sept. 12, on Disney Channel, with every episode available for streaming starting Oct. 15 on Disney+ and Disney Channel On Demand.
Along with the trailer and poster, Disney announced that Walt Disney Records will launch the “Vampirina: Teenage Vampire Original Soundtrack” on Oct. 10. The album will contain 14 new songs, including the first single, “S-L-A-Y,” which will be accessible on Sept. 12.
The series centers on tween vampire Vee (Kenzi Richardson), who relocates from Transylvania to enroll in a performing arts boarding school. As she follows her passion for music and adapts to life among humans, she also has to conceal her vampire nature, a challenge that intensifies when her father assigns a ghostly guardian to oversee her.
The primary cast features Jiwon Lee as roommate Sophie, Shaun Dixon as Elijah, Milo Maharlika as Demi the ghost, and Faith Hedley as Britney. Kate Reinders and Jeff Meacham portray Vee’s parents, while Kim Coles plays Dean Merriweather.
This season’s guest stars include Emmy Award winner Mykal-Michelle Harris (Raven’s Home) as Ruby, Jenna Davis (M3GAN) as Megan, Ariel Martin (aka Baby Ariel; ZOMBIES) as Millie Eyelash, and Janice LeAnn Brown reprises her role as Billie in a Wizards Beyond Waverly Place crossover.
Behind the scenes, Dan Cross and David Hoge (Julie and the Phantoms) act as showrunners and executive producers, alongside Tim Federle (High School Musical: The Musical: The Series), Bronwyn North-Reist, and Meg Deloatch (Family Reunion).
“Vampirina: Teenage Vampire” is the first live-action take on the hit book and Disney Junior animated series, bringing music, mystery and supernatural fun to a new generation of fans.
The Walt Disney Company is the parent company of Disney Channel, Disney+ and this ABC station.
