Disney magic took center stage at Destination D23, where fans gathered from all over the world. To add an extra dose of enchantment to the celebration, a few Broadway stars graced the event.
One of the special guests was Susan Egan, the original Belle from Broadway’s “Beauty and the Beast,” representing a true Disney princess. She shared the spotlight with Michael James Scott from “Aladdin” and Daniel Gardner, who portrays Lumiere in the new North American tour of “Beauty and the Beast.”
The trio shared the stage for performances and stories, celebrating the musical’s 30th anniversary and their deep connection to the show.
“I fell in love with the character of Lumiere,” Gardner shared with On The Red Carpet. “Playing him for the 30th anniversary is simply amazing, and having the chance to perform alongside Susan and all these wonderful people is a dream come true.”
Scott spoke about the joy of meeting fans and the impact performers have beyond the stage.
Gardner added, “As artists, when we meet the fans—whether we’re performing or engaging in other activities—we take it very seriously because we know it holds great significance for both them and us.”
