Walt Disney Records releases country-inspired album, 'Main Street Country,' based on classic Disney movie songs

Walt Disney Records is venturing into fresh musical territory once again. Following the success of their rock-infused reinterpretations in the 2024 album “A Whole New Sound,” they are now introducing “Main Street Country,” the newest addition to the Mickey & Friends music series.

“Main Street Country” is a vibrant collection of country renditions of beloved Disney tunes, performed by top-tier country artists. The album showcases the talents of Kane and Katelyn Brown, Dasha, BRELAND, Restless Road, and Maddie & Tae, each adding their unique flair to these classic songs.

Katelyn Brown shared her enthusiasm for their chosen track, revealing, “We didn’t really give Kane much of a say in it. One of my all-time favorite Disney songs is ‘Beauty and the Beast,’ and it’s simply the best.”

BRELAND, who has been a Disney enthusiast since his childhood, expressed how significant Disney music has been in his life. “Some of the first songs I ever learned were Disney songs. I don’t think I’d be the artist or musician I am today without that influence,” he explained, noting that participating in the “Main Street Country” EP, especially with a song from “Hercules,” was a “full circle moment” for him.

Singer-songwriter Dasha felt “honored” to contribute to this exciting country album. “I performed the song with my brother, which made it extra special. Disney is all about family, fun, and laughter, and that’s exactly what we infused into our rendition. I’m really proud of how it turned out.”

Maddie & Tae, the popular country duo, revealed their love for the song they chose. “We picked ‘You’ll Be in My Heart’ by Phil Collins from the ‘Tarzan’ soundtrack because we adore the movie, and our kids love it too. Being part of this project is truly a ‘dream come true’ for us.”

Why did Restless Road want to join the “Main Street Country” album? Singer Colton Pack shared, “We all grew up watching Disney. I know that Disney is so special to so many different people. To be able to be a part of such an iconic brand, one that shaped our childhood and so many others is just a really, really special honor for us.”

“Main Street Country” tracklist:
1. “Beauty and the Beast” from “Beauty and the Beast” by Kane Brown and Katelyn Brown
2. “The Climb” from “Hannah Montana: The Movie” by Restless Road
3. “She’s So Gone” From “Lemonade Mouth” by Dasha
4. “You’ll Be in My Heart” From “Tarzan” by Maddie & Tae
5. “Go the Distance” from “Hercules” by BRELAND
